As 2025 approaches, the film schedule is expected to be jam-packed with eagerly awaited films that should provide audiences with outstanding cinematic experiences. With that, here are some releases that have my attention heading into the new year.
Mickey 17- Dir. Bong Joon Ho- January 17

Since The Batman, Robert Pattinson has slowly become one of my favorite actors working in Hollywood today. Pair him with the man who made Parasite, which is one of the best films of the century thus far, and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for this one.
Mission Impossible- The Final Reckoning- Dir. Christopher McQuarrie- May 23

Truthfully, I am not a huge fan of this franchise, but I am excited to see what stunts Tom Cruise and the production team have in store for this final mission in the series.
F1- Dir. Joseph Kosinski- June 27

Prepare yourself for an adrenaline rush during the new Formula One film. Based on the footage we have seen, expect a strong emphasis on fast-paced action that will give viewers a great time.
Superman- Dir. James Gunn- July 11

Perhaps one of the most important superhero movies in a long time, this first installment of James Gunn's DCU must deliver to give fans hope for what's to come. With it being the first solo Superman film since 2013, expectations are high for a new era of the iconic hero.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps- Dir. Matt Shakman- July 25

After a series of underwhelming films, fans are hoping Marvel can finally turn things around with the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. This relaunch has the ability to rekindle interest in the MCU after a period of dreary storytelling and character arcs. Will Marvel be able to bring the cherished team back to life, or will this be just another lackluster film in this universe.
Michael- Dir. Antoine Fuqua- October 3

I'm interested to see how the upcoming Michael Jackson movie will address the singer's complicated legacy and the issues surrounding his private life. With such a sensitive subject, I'm interested to see how the movie handles the harsher parts of his tale while navigating his musical genius.
