Aaron, Make Up Your Damn Mind.

We are now a full week into the new NFL league year, and Aaron Rodgers' uncertainty is once again holding the NFL offseason hostage. The four-time MVP is a free agent for the first time in his career and is supposedly considering teams like the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers, who are eagerly awaiting a decision from Rodgers. It was reported over the weekend that Rodgers was hoping to sign with the Minnesota Vikings, but it appears they will be moving forward with J.J. McCarthy. With Minnesota out, it appears that Rodgers is in no rush to decide what he will be doing in 2025. And to be honest, it's becoming ridiculous.

Rodgers has done this before. He delayed his decision to join the New York Jets, retire, or remain with the Green Bay Packers until days into free agency, two years ago. Now, the Giants, Steelers, and other free agent quarterbacks are stuck waiting again as history seems to be repeating itself.

The Steelers and Giants need quarterbacks for 2025, and other players want to sign. The answer is straightforward: give him a due date. "Aaron, we would love to have you, but we need an answer by X date.  Otherwise, we're moving on."

The Steelers are in desperate need of a quarterback to help them win a playoff game for the first time since the 2016 season. Even if they are not as good, the Giants cannot afford to waste time since they have the No. 3 pick in the draft, and there very well could be a quarterback on the board. If you wait for Rodgers, you can lose out on a draft plan or other free agents like Russell Wilson or a trade candidate in Kirk Cousins.

Although Rodgers is free to enjoy his beach walks and dark retreats, the NFL shouldn't go out of its way to accommodate him. Teams must take charge, give him a deadline, and if he doesn't like it, move on. It's not like you are getting that four-time MVP-caliber player; you are simply getting a 41-year-old stopgap and an okay starter for 2025. It is not as if he is leading to you a championship.

Although Rodgers is free to enjoy his beach walks and darkness retreats, the NFL shouldn't go out of its way to wait for him. Teams must take charge, give him a deadline, and if he doesn't like it, move on. The longer this continues, the more it appears that Rodgers would be the one who has all the power, and he is no longer good enough to justify that.

Aaron, it's time to make a decision. Choose a damn team or walk away.
