The Silcoff Selections are here for January 10th, 2026. With all the action in sports tonight, here are some of my favourite plays across sports today.

NFL:

Carolina Panthers Team Total Over 16.5 Points (-135) vs Los Angeles Rams

Carolina already showed they can move the ball against the Rams earlier this season, scoring 31 points in that matchup. While many won’t give the Panthers much of a chance here, the Rams’ secondary is beatable and presents opportunities to put points on the board. With Matthew Stafford always capable of a turnover or two, even a slow start could still set up late scores or aggressive fourth-quarter decisions. That makes the Panthers team total over a number I’m comfortable backing.

Green Bay Packers Moneyline (-125) @ Chicago Bears

Yes, I know 7 seeds are just 1–9 since being added to the playoff format, but that one win came from the Packers just two years ago in Dallas. More specific to this matchup, I trust Green Bay’s offense far more to take advantage of Chicago’s weak secondary than vice versa. The Packers have essentially had two weeks to prepare after resting starters last week, while the Bears played their starters in a physical loss to Detroit. Add in the fact that Matt LaFleur may be coaching for his job based on various reports. While it’s been a great first year for Ben Johnson in Chicago, I think it ends tonight.

NBA:

Miami Heat @ Indiana Pacers over 234.5 Total Points (-110)

This matchup has been a goldmine for overs, with the total cashing in nine of the last ten meetings between these two teams. Miami is starting to get healthier, which raises their offensive ceiling, while Indiana’s depleted roster has struggled badly on the defensive end. With both teams capable of putting points up in a hurry, give me the over here.

NHL:

Dallas Stars Moneyline (-170) @ San Jose Sharks

Dallas snapped a six-game losing streak Wednesday in Washington, and I like them to keep things moving in the right direction with two days of rest. The Stars have dominated this matchup, winning nine of the last ten meetings against San Jose. While the Sharks have been better than expected this season, Dallas is simply the better hockey team, and I’ll back them on the road.

Vancouver Canucks +1.5 @ Toronto Maple Leafs (-180)

Vancouver has won six of the last ten meetings against Toronto, and while the Canucks have been one of the worst teams in the league this season, the Leafs have been just as inconsistent. Coming off a comeback win in Philadelphia on Thursday, this feels like a potential letdown spot for Toronto. With Thatcher Demko capable of stealing a game or at least keeping it close, I’ll take Vancouver to stay within a goal.

Seattle Kraken @ Carolina Hurricanes Under 6 Total Goals (-110)

Goals have been hard to come by when these two meet, with the under hitting or pushing in seven of their eight matchups. Neither team plays a particularly high-event style, and both tend to lean into a more structured, dump-and-chase brand of hockey. With long stretches of clock getting drained, I’ll side with another low-scoring game and take the under.

Minnesota Wild Moneyline (-170) vs New York Islanders

Minnesota has had the Islanders’ number, winning eight of the last ten meetings between these teams. New York remains without Bo Horvat, their most consistent goal scorer this season, which significantly hurts their offense. With the Wild being the healthier and more complete team in this matchup, I’ll take Minnesota to get it done.

St. Louis Blues @ Vegas Golden Knights Over 5.5 Total Goals (-125)

This matchup has consistently produced offense, with the total hitting or pushing in seven of the last ten meetings between these teams. Both clubs have dealt with shaky goaltending for much of the season, which only adds to the scoring potential. With the way these teams trade chances, I expect the offense to take over and push this game over the number.
