The Silcoff Selections are here for Week 8 of the 2025 NFL Season! Below are my records for my straight up and against the spread picks for the season thus far.

Records Last Week:

Straight Up: 10-5

Against The Spread: 8-7

Season Records:

Straight Up: 65-42-1

Against The Spread: 47-60-1

Thursday Night Football: Minnesota Vikings (3-3) @ Los Angeles Chargers (4-3) I Line: Chargers -3.5

ree

The Chargers’ defense was torched by Daniel Jones and the Colts last week, but this matchup sets up well for them. With Carson Wentz starting once again for the injured J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota could struggle to keep up with Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense who is getting by the week in the passing game.

Score Prediction: Chargers 26, Vikings 19

ATS Pick: Chargers -3.5

Early Sunday Slate: Ravens In a Must Win Spot Against Chicago

ree

Chicago Bears (4-2) @ Baltimore Ravens (1-5) I Line: Ravens -6.5

Caleb Williams and head coach Ben Johnson should find success through the air against a Ravens defense that’s been one of the league’s worst. Still, this is a must-win game for Baltimore, and with Lamar Jackson expected to return, the Ravens have the advantage. Expect Derrick Henry to have a strong outing and Lamar to do just enough to pull out a much-needed victory.

Score Prediction: Ravens 28, Bears 20

ATS Pick: Ravens -6.5

Buffalo Bills (4-2) @ Carolina Panthers (4-3) I Line: Bills -7

Buffalo returns from a bye week looking refreshed, while the Panthers have quietly put together a three-game win streak to move above .500 — a surprise to many. However, with Bryce Young sidelined and Andy Dalton starting, Carolina’s win streak should come to an end as the Bills are getting key defensive reinforcements back from suspension and should take care of business.

Score Prediction: Bills 30, Panthers 19

ATS Pick: Bills -7

Cleveland Browns (2-5) @ New England Patriots (5-2) I Line: Patriots -7

Cleveland’s defense remains elite and could make life difficult for Drake Maye. While New England’s offensive line has shown improvement, it still isn’t among the league’s best. Expect a tight contest early before the Patriots find separation late. With this win, New England would extend its streak to five straight and improve to 6–2 on the season.

Score Prediction: Patriots 26, Browns 13

ATS Pick: Patriots -7

Miami Dolphins (1-6) @ Atlanta Falcons (3-3) I Line: Falcons -7.5

Atlanta is a different team at home — and this matchup heavily favors them. Bijan Robinson should have a monster game against a struggling Miami defense, while Drake London could also make a big impact. Expect the Falcons’ defense to pressure Tua Tagovailoa and stall this Miami offense who seems like they quit on their head coach weeks ago.

Score Prediction: Falcons 28, Dolphins 17

ATS Pick: Falcons -7.5

New York Giants (2-5) @ Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) I Line: Eagles -7.5

The Giants are coming off a stunning collapse, surrendering 33 points in the fourth quarter against Denver. However, they did beat Philadelphia a couple weeks ago on Thursday Night Football. The Eagles’ offense looked rejuvenated last week against Minnesota, and at home, I think the momentum should continue.

Score Prediction: Eagles 26, Giants 18

ATS Pick: Eagles -7.5

New York Jets (0-7) @ Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) I Line: Bengals -6.5

At 0–7, the Jets remain the league’s only winless team and have officially benched Justin Fields in favor of Tyrod Taylor. Unfortunately, that change likely won’t make much difference. Joe Flacco and the Bengals showed signs of life last week, and with Ja’Marr Chase heating up, Cincinnati should stay in the playoff mix.

Score Prediction: Bengals 27, Jets 17

ATS Pick: Bengals -6.5

San Francisco 49ers (5-2) @ Houston Texans (2-4) I Line: Texans -1.5

Houston will likely be missing key playmaker Nico Collins, and even with him, their offense simply isn’t trustworthy. With Brock Purdy expected to return — and Mac Jones proving to be a capable backup — San Francisco has the edge. C.J. Stroud should play better than his Monday night performance, but it won’t be enough. 49ers get the road win.

Score Prediction: 49ers 22, Texans 17

ATS Pick: 49ers +1.5

Afternoon Games: Cowboys-Broncos Highlight The Late Slate

ree

Dallas Cowboys (3-3-1) @ Denver Broncos (5-2) I Line: Broncos -3.5

Denver didn’t look good at all in last week’s game before exploding offensively in the fourth quarter. Luckily for them, the Cowboys’ defense has been a disaster. Dak Prescott could have a strong outing if Denver’s defense repeats its poor effort, but expect a sharper showing this time around. In a potential shootout, the Broncos’ home-field advantage prevails.

Score Prediction: Broncos 27, Cowboys 23

ATS Pick: Broncos -3.5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) @ New Orleans Saints (1-6) I Line: Buccaneers -4

Whenever these NFC South rivals meet in New Orleans, it tends to be a crazy game. The Saints will have a fighting chance in this divisional clash, especially with Tampa Bay losing Mike Evans to a broken collarbone. Still, expect Baker Mayfield and Emeka Egbuka to make enough plays to get the Bucs back on track.

Score Prediction: Buccaneers 27, Saints 20

ATS Pick: Buccaneers -4

Tennessee Titans (1-6) @ Indianapolis Colts (6-1) I Line: Colts -14

It’s time to stop doubting the Colts. This isn’t just one of the league’s best offenses — it’s one of the best all-around teams. Meanwhile, the Titans are already looking toward 2026, as their season continues to spiral. Expect Daniel Jones and Indianapolis to roll yet again and improve to 7–1.

Score Prediction: Colts 34, Titans 16

ATS Pick: Colts -14

Sunday Night Football: Green Bay Packers (4-1-1) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) I Line: Packers -3

ree

One of the most anticipated games of the year features Aaron Rodgers facing his former team. Green Bay boasts one of the NFL’s deepest rosters but remains wildly inconsistent. Rodgers, on the other hand, has quietly been playing excellent football and looks far more mobile than he did last season.

Even if the Packers bring their best, it’s hard to imagine Rodgers losing this one at home. Expect a vintage performance from the future Hall of Famer as he leads the Steelers to an emotional win over his old team.

Score Prediction: Steelers 23, Packers 22

ATS Pick: Steelers +3

Monday Night Football Game: Washington Commanders (3-4) @ Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) I Line: Chiefs -12.5

ree

With quarterback Jayden Daniels ruled out, Washington’s hopes in this game are nonexistent. The Chiefs look like the league’s best team once again, coming off a 31–0 blowout over the Raiders. Patrick Mahomes and company are back in rhythm, and Kansas City continues to look every bit like the Super Bowl favorite many expected them to be.

Score Prediction: Chiefs 31, Commanders 16

ATS Pick: Chiefs -12.5
