The Silcoff Selections are here for Week 9 of the 2025 NFL Season! Below are my records for my straight up and against the spread picks for the season thus far.

Records Last Week:

Straight Up: 9-4

Against The Spread: 9-4

Season Records:

Straight Up: 74-46-1

Against The Spread: 56-64-1

Thursday Night Football: Baltimore Ravens (2-5) @ Miami Dolphins (2-6) I Line: Ravens -7.5

ree

Lamar Jackson is expected to return for the Ravens, and after finally getting Derrick Henry more involved last week, Baltimore’s offense showed some signs of life.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins are coming off a surprising win over the Falcons — a game many thought would mark the beginning of the end for Miami’s season. Expect a bit of rust from Lamar after missing multiple weeks, but the Ravens still find a way to pull out a close win on the road.

Score Prediction: Ravens 27, Dolphins 21

ATS Pick: Dolphins +7.5

Early Sunday Slate: Maye, Patriots Look To Continue Win Streak Against Falcons

ree

Atlanta Falcons (3-4) @ New England Patriots (5-2) I Line: Patriots -5.5

The Patriots are red-hot, riding a five-game win streak behind Drake Maye, who’s rapidly emerging as a legitimate MVP candidate. Their defense, one of the league’s best against the run, will look to slow down Bijan Robinson and a Falcons team that just lost to the Dolphins.

Honestly, I don't care if it's Kirk Cousins or Michael Penix Jr. under center, Atlanta doesn’t inspire confidence. The Patriots make it six straight.

Score Prediction: Patriots 27, Falcons 19

ATS Pick: Patriots -5.5

Carolina Panthers (4-4) @ Green Bay Packers (5-1-1) I Line: Packers -13

Bryce Young returns for Carolina, but this week is all about Jordan Love. The Packers’ quarterback is coming off a spectacular performance where he completed 20 straight passes at one point against Pittsburgh.

Green Bay is starting to look like a legitimate NFC contender, and if Love keeps playing like this, he could sneak into late-season MVP discussions. Expect a blowout at Lambeau.

Score Prediction: Packers 31, Panthers 16

ATS Pick: Packers -13

Chicago Bears (4-3) @ Cincinnati Bengals (3-5) I Line: Bears -3

Both teams enter Week 9 off ugly losses — Chicago fell to a Lamar-less Ravens squad, while Cincinnati handed the Jets their first win of the season. Despite the struggles, expect Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson’s offense to rebound in a big way.

The Bengals’ defense has been abysmal, and with Joe Flacco banged up — or possibly Jake Browning starting — the Bears should win this game.

Score Prediction: Bears 28, Bengals 21

ATS Pick: Bears -3

Denver Broncos (6-2) @ Houston Texans (3-4) I Line: Texans -1.5

The Broncos were impressive offensively last week against Dallas, but losing Pat Surtain II for 4–6 weeks is a major blow. On the other side, the Texans expect Nico Collins back, and C.J. Stroud is coming off his best game of the season against the 49ers.

With no Surtain no Denver, Houston’s defense should be most complete unit in this matchup, which should make the difference at home.

Score Prediction: Texans 21, Broncos 19

ATS Pick: Texans -1.5

Indianapolis Colts (7-1) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) I Line: Colts -3

The Colts are playing like one of the best teams in football right now. Daniel Jones has been efficient and confident, while Jonathan Taylor continues to look like an unstoppable force.

The Steelers’ run defense has been a major liability, and Taylor should feast. Indianapolis roll in Pittsburgh.

Score Prediction: Colts 30, Steelers 23

ATS Pick: Colts -3

Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) @ Tennessee Titans (1-7) I Line: Chargers -9.5

Despite early-season optimism, the Tennessee Titans continue to unravel. Cam Moore hasn’t been the answer, and dysfunction defines the locker room.

The Chargers, now healthier at receiver, have let Justin Herbert air it out more — and it’s paying off. Expect Los Angeles to handle business with ease in Nashville.

Score Prediction: Chargers 26, Titans 16

ATS Pick: Chargers -9.5

Minnesota Vikings (3-4) @ Detroit Lions (5-2) I Line: Lions -8.5

J.J. McCarthy is finally back under center for the Vikings after missing time since Week 2. Unfortunately, his return comes against a fired-up Detroit Lions team fresh off a bye and extending Aidan Hutchinson.

This is a brutal spot for McCarthy, especially on the road against a Lions squad with top-end talent and momentum. Expect Detroit to take care of business convincingly.

Score Prediction: Lions 30, Vikings 19

ATS Pick: Lions -8.5

San Francisco 49ers (5-3) @ New York Giants (2-6) I Line: 49ers -2.5

It’s been a nightmare stretch for the New York Giants, who’ve lost both Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo. Rookie QB Jaxson Dart faces a tall task against a banged-up but still elite 49ers defense.

Even with injuries on both sides, expect Kyle Shanahan to outcoach Brian Daboll, leaning on San Francisco’s depth to get the win.

Score Prediction: 49ers 24, Giants 21

ATS Pick: 49ers -2.5

Late Sunday Slate: Mahomes-Allen Face off for the Tenth Time

ree

Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) @ Buffalo Bills (5-2) I Line: Chiefs -2

This matchup has defined AFC supremacy for years — but this time, the Chiefs might flip the script. The Bills have owned the regular-season series, while the Chiefs have dominated in the playoffs.

With Rashee Rice back and the Kansas City offense finally clicking, expect Patrick Mahomes to control the clock and wear down a struggling Buffalo defense. Kareem Hunt’s short-yardage power should keep drives alive, keeping Josh Allen on the sideline for much of the night.

Score Prediction: Chiefs 30, Bills 24

ATS Pick: Chiefs -2

Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3) @ Las Vegas Raiders (2-5) I Line: Jaguars -3

While both the Jaguars and Raiders have been inconsistent, the difference here comes down to turnovers.

Jacksonville’s defense forces takeaways, while Geno Smith has struggled with giveaways all season. That’ll be the deciding factor.

Score Prediction: Jaguars 24, Raiders 20

ATS Pick: Jaguars -3

New Orleans Saints (1-7) @ Los Angeles Rams (5-2) I Line: Rams -14

After Spencer Rattler’s benching, Tyler Shough gets the nod for the Saints. Unfortunately for him, Sean McVay and the Rams are coming off a bye week — and McVay’s teams are almost unbeatable in that spot.

Expect a lopsided affair in Los Angeles.

Score Prediction: Rams 30, Saints 14

ATS Pick: Rams -14

Sunday Night Football: Seattle Seahawks (5-2) @ Washington Commanders (3-5) I Line: Seahawks -3

ree

The Seahawks, coming off a bye, are healthier and rested — and Mike Macdonald continues to prove he’s one of the best coaches in the league. With Terry McLaurin ruled out and Jayden Daniels’ status uncertain, Washington faces an uphill battle.

Seattle should handle business on the road, especially in prime time while rocking their throwback uniforms.

Score Prediction: Seahawks 28, Commanders 23

ATS Pick: Seahawks -3

Monday Night Football: Arizona Cardinals (5-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-4-1) I Line: Cowboys -2.5

ree

Kyler Murray has never lost in AT&T Stadium, whether in high school, college, or the NFL. The Cardinals, fresh off a bye, have enough offensive firepower with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride to surprise the Cowboys.

If Arizona’s defense under Jonathan Gannon can apply pressure on Dak Prescott, an upset is possible — and that’s exactly what happens here.

Score Prediction: Cardinals 28, Cowboys 27

ATS Pick: Cardinals +2.5
